Emerging from lurk mode for a moment. I received a tee shirt catalog from a company called Crazy Shirts Hawaii yesterday. I was going to throw it in the recycle bin but, my knuckles dragging for a moment, I gazed at the lovely Hawaiian lady on the cover and decided to open it instead. (I guess that's why she was there) The chile-head in me was rewarded soon thereafter (p.12 to be exact) with chile dyed tee shirts. These tee shirts are dyed using peppers. After a brief explanation of how peppers are rated for heat and declaring the "Red Habanero" as being the hottest, the state that "Crazy Shirts uses a milder Hawaiian "peppah" to dye our shirts." They have 5 styles including one with a 'gator on it and one with an add for "Freak N' Hot Hot Sauce", and my favorite "Red Gecko Hot Chile Co. " with a drawing of a red gecko shooting a flame out of his mouth. Usual disclaimers apply. I don't think my wardrobe will be complete without at least one tee shirt dyed with the fruit of El Grande. Lest we worry about getting chile torso or chile arm to go along with our chile willy, they assure us that "..we want the essence of the chile to come through not the burn. We saved all the heat and put that into our designs". Sounds like just the gift for the Chile-Head with everything. The web site is www.crazyshirts.com Returning now to lurk mode Vince from Omaha Where it is finally warming up and the peppers are safely in the ground. Thanks Janie
