Susie and I had a great time in Las Vegas, she went and dropped quarters in the slot machine (came out $160 ahead) and I read several books by the pool. We also went out to eat together, saw George Carlin, did the Star Trek Experience and the Space Station 3D at the Luxor. First the food... We were staying in a little B&B about 5 miles east of I15 on Tropicana Blvd. We ate at "The King and I", a little hole in the wall Thai place. VERY good, and they even believed us when we said we wanted it hot. And a good selection of vegetarian dishes (when I asked for recommendations, I forgot to mention we're vegheads too). For dinner that night, we ate at Chinois, a Wolfgang Puck restaurant in Ceasar's. Excellent, although no heat. Lunch the next day was at Komol's, another Thai hole in the wall, not far from the Hilton where the Star Trek items are. Excellent with an extensive vegetarian selection. They didn't believe us on the heat level, but did leave chile oil and jalapeno's on the table, which allowed us to fix the error. Their Tom Yum soup was top notch, with a lot of white pepper in it. For dinner we had some snacks at Puck's cafe in the MGM (we were short on time before George Carlin's show). While I really dislike the casino's, we had a great time doing our own thing and getting together to share meals. Can't say much for the drive home, traffic was a bit heavy, particularly after the long weekend. Thanks for all the suggestions! Curt
