Started last year with just a dozen or so Habs and some tomatas with no probs. My C-H growing experiences started out a few years ago with three Habs in a container (yes, they were a little cramped) which I overwintered the first year. The very next year I put them in the parents garden, before they had their fence up, and they lasted about two days. > This year the varmits returned and now I will have to rethink my fence decision. The fence really doesn't have to deer proof, just about 3-4 ft will make them change there paths and eat the neighbors offering instead > > Buzz Yep, 4-footer's what I use here, and it's been fine so far. I bought the "Rabbit fence"; smaller "holes near the bottom to keep the bunnies (etc.) out, and larger near the top. I recall that it was pretty inexpensive for a 50' section at the good 'ol Depot. -- Erich C-H # 2099 Silver Glen American Shorthairs www.worzellaphoto.com/pets/index.htm
