Jocelyn, Is this another school project? Here's my 2 cents worth. I consider myself a latent Chilehead. All my life I had a shaker of McCormick's dried "Chile Flakes" that I put on almost everything I ate. It wasn't until I bought a home with enough land, started a garden & learned about stuff on the internet that I found Capsicum bliss. Answering your questions.....I think all are arbitrary. I eat some pretty hot stuff but when I read about people in Hab eating contests or people who guzzle bottles of hot sauce I wince at the END result. I don't ever remember anyone writing they "popped" Red Savinas as their first hot pepper so I'd have to say everyone has to (quoting you) "build up a good resistance to capsaicin.." Snip:Are there better ways to develop this "ability" (eat Habs or lots of lower heat peppers...) ? Far as I know, you advance from Jals to Serranos to Habs. Snip: If you stop eating peppers for a little while, will your resistance drop quickly or will it stay pretty much the same? Can't answer this one/never stopped. Hope this helps, Paul PS How's the other projects going? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dygurkem _" <dygurkem@hotmail.com> To: <chile-heads-digest@globalgarden.com> Cc: <dygurkem@hotmail.com> Sent: Tuesday, 16 July, 2002 2:50 PM Subject: [CH] time to build > Hi all, I was just wondering how much time it takes to .. > If > > Thanks, >
