Sounds like the Camarones Diablas at the La Casita restaurant near here.  I 
was warned that it was hot, and said give it to me (did not request hotter, 
wanted to see how it came off-the-shelf).  It was a very nice heat, not 
extreme, just right.  I asked what kind of peppers they use for the sauce, 
and they said De Arbol.
