Here is the recipe for Picante Salsa
Blanch and peel 15 medium tomatoes and chop
3 medium onions--chopped
2 cans green chilies, chopped
5 green peppers, chopped
3 tsp garlic powder
2 cups white vinegar
3 tsp oregano
1 tsp cumin
3 jalapeno peppers -- and I added habaneros--depends how hot you can handle
1/2 cup lemon juice
12 oz can tomato paste
1/2 cup sugar
3 TBSP salt (or less)
Simmer for about 1/2 hours and process in pint jars. Boiling water bath--or
keep in fridge.
Enjoy!!
