I guess I have had a sheltered life or just took for granted that grits
were a mainstay in fine cuisine! I was dis-belieiving when grits were
not offered at a breakfast buffet I visited this weekend HERE IN TEXAS!
Yes, you have to FLOAT grits (and rice) in gravy and/or butter. I have
gone so far as to get a side order of chile gravy to go from my favorite
Mexican food restuarant to float my grits for breakfast.
I will be trying these grit recipes, passing on the Oatmeal & Okra, but
dining on rice tonight.........Beth
