The list has gone back and forth over this many times. Aside from the fact
that any variety will have varying degrees of heat across plants, locations,
conditions, and seasons, there is a further question of what kind of heat a
type of pod has. Front of mouth, back of mouth, immediate or creeping,
bright and fruity or rich and earthy. The result is that we have no
agreement, but we are wary of any claims to the absolute. Habs, puriras,
tepins, pequins, and datils are pretty much the top 5, and any pod from
those types might be able to beat any other pod from another of those types
if the circumstances are right.
