But then, Belize is an English-speaking country, and they spell the name of
their country 'Belize', with a 'z', and in Belize they pronounce that
letter in the name of their country as 'z', i.e. exactly the way it looks
to an English speaker. Therefore 'Belize' is the inarguably 'correct'
spelling. So, this isn't a very good example of needing to reference a
Spanish dictionary to learn the truth.
Sorry, I guess I'm finally cracking under the onslaught of ridiculous,
nasty posts on this thread.
The truth re habanero was told long ago in post #2 or #3 or so (except of
course the silent 'h' part, first mentioned just 10 or 20 posts ago), so
why can't we just leave it now? Whoever is still itching to get in your
own repeat on this topic -- you'll get your chance to be the first post to
illuminate the truth; just wait until this topic comes around again in 2-3
years, as it has been doing for a few cycles.
