Speaking of cats... I have just discovered that my garden has become a winter litter box. (Noticed the dog sniffing around) There have been many threads offering suggestions on how to keep cats out of the garden, but I have never really worried about it because they don't "go" in the garden when there are plants there.... I do plan to enlarge the garden a bit this spring and will be adding a lot more dirt. Do I need to get rid of the existing top soil? (other than sifting out clumps) ;-) While we're on the subject, I would be interested in any suggestions for soil additives that would give it a good start for the season. TIA, Michelle in KC...come on, Spring! I'm tired of the cold.
