You have as much chance in the Northwest as I do in the Northeast > in finding a local supplier of hot peppers! > > Oh I dunno, Paul...you have no idea of the number of Mexican expatriots who live in Washington State! Some of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten at, I have found in Northwest Washington, and every big supermarket has an absolutely huge section for Mexican stuff. The "wet backs" came up here to work in the orchards, and on the farms, liked the country and stayed. We also have a large population of ex mex folk living on this side of the border, in the lower Okanagan valley, in Osoyoos(as bad as some of your Mass. names, huh?)so Todd may have a much better chance up here! Todd, they are growing chiles pretty extensively in the S W corner of Washington, check that out! Cheers, Doug on Vancouver Island BC
