Hey there folks!
Just wanted to inform all of you that I will be going to Seattle to open
another Rainforest Cafe at the South Center Mall.
I'll be in Seattle from June 17th til July 13th. If you are in the area then
please give me a call or stop by the restaurant and ask for me. My real name
is John Whalen, but many people know me as "Chile". Anyhow if you stop by
the restaurant I can't guarantee that I'll be able to come out of the kitchen
to meet you, but its worth a try. I'm one of the National Trainers working
in the Kitchen, mainly in the Prep Department.
Anyhow here is the information on how to get hold of me:
Double Tree Inn South Center
205 Strander Blvd
Seattle, WA 98199
Phone: 206-246-8220
Fax: 206-575-4743
Normally I put in 12-18 hours per day on these openings so please leave a
message and I'll try to get back to you asap. Even though I work some long
hours doesn't necessarily rule out that I just might want a frosty beverage
to finish the day, and who would be better to enjoy that beverage than maybe
you and some friends.
Anyone wanting to leave donations of fresh chilies, hot sauces, frosty
beverages, exotic foods, homemade goodies, large sums of cash (unmarked
please), nubile maidens, etc., I will offer my humble gratitude and maybe
even share some with you, well maybe not the nubile maidens.
I'd also love to get some information on ChileHead related shops,
restaurants, and Temples to El Grande located in Seattle that I might go to
see if I get a day or two off. You can e-mail me direct so as not to take up
the time and space for rest of the list.
My garden is doing well. The New Mex-64 is putting out some fruit that I'll
pick Monday. The Carrot Chile is going to be harvested by Tuesday, and the
Congo Trinidad, Scotch Bonnet, and Red Savinas will not be ready for harvest
until I return home, if they survive that long. It does get hot here in Las
Vegas. My Roma Tomatoes are just in the sprouting stage as are the cilantro
and basil that I planted.
So anyhow, I'll talk with you all before I leave.
Yours in Flavor,
John "ChefChile" Whalen
