FWIW: 8 - 9 years ago here in Oz I was working on the construction of a large resort and was told by the landscapers that some of the best growing medium they ever got their hands on was coffee grounds. Now i'm talking serious quantities, truck loads (18 wheeler), from memory they said it wasn't quite composted but checked out ok. So that was good enough for me and I have been adding grounds to my chile plants ever since, matter of fact I have a bowl in the kitchen that my wife reminded me of this morning. Get those ( ^&$%^@ ) grounds out of the house now was along the lines of the message I got. On the landscaping: These guys were amazing, it was a $6 mil contract and they budgeted for 30% loss of plantings. They only had about 5%. They dropped the plants into the holes from about waist high, placed boot on the side of plant to settle it in and threw handfuls of slow release fertiliser around. They also had a chef working as a landscaper so the friday afternoon BBQ's were damm good. Luke in Oz
