I have used Wall-O-Waters with great success as well. Although two years ago I really jumped the gun and put the chiles in the garden in March. (I live in Pennsylvania) I put down black plastic to warm the soil so tht was not a problem. The temperature was never a problem, incredible since it did get below freezing several nights. But they didn't start growing much for 3-4 weeks. Once the sun was up a little longer, and it was a little warmer, they seemed to respond very well. Tomatoes did much better, that by June they were popping through the top of the WOW's, producing ripe ones by the 4th of July. I bought them from Gardeners Supply which at the time had the best price. Chip Welsh Red Lion Spicy Foods Company
