Coffee grounds are great for composting, and for worm composting are fantastic. I have a deal with a local coffee shop and I am sure anyone can work a similar deal. I have several of the white 5 gallon food pails with lids. About every 3 days I take in a clean one and pick up a full one. (I don't drink coffee, I am a tea person and tea leaves also go in the compost) Anyway, I never thought about asking for eggshells, but the restaurant specializes in omelets so when I stop by tomorrow I am going to ask if they will dump the eggshells in with the grounds. I always compost my own eggshells. After drying them in the microwave as recommended by Jerry the master gardner. -- Andie Paysinger & the PENDRAGON Basenjis,Teafer,Cheesy,Singer & Player asenji@earthlink.net So. Calif.
