My absolute fav restaurant in London is Vong's. It is not a chile restaurant per se. It is fushion Thai/French. Their starters plate/tower for two is a full meal of taste delights. That with a bottle of Chardonnay is wonderful. My husband and I always head there. It's in the Knightsbridge area near Harrods. It is located in a hotel---forgot the name sorry. Vong's is the best of Jean-George Vongerichten. (author of best seller: Jean-Georges Cooking at Home with a Four-Star Chef). There are numerous Indian and Thai restaurants all over London, some good, some fair, some dreadful. If you aren't familiar w/Balti Indian cooking give it a try. I recommend picking up a copy of the Current Magazine, TimeOut London which will give all sorts of current info on restaurants and what's happening. You can get it here in the states at some book stores that carry international publications. Otherwise it is available at the news stands at Hearthrow for sure. When you exit customs straight a head are two news stands and both carry it. London is still very pricey! My old hangouts in Victoria Station Area for Indian and Greek food have even become pricey. Where oh where have the cheap eats of Indian walk-aways gone????? Mary-Anne
