I am in a continuing battle wtih the groundhog! I think i could use some plastic stuff aka caddyshack ;). Three weeks ago, I bought the fox and coyote lure. The directions said to apply it to these sponges on a little stick. So I did and some on the wood surrounding the garden beds. The next morning, the sponges were in different places. Two days later, the sponges were missing as well as my tomatillos, basil, and recently regrown tomato plants. Last week, I found the sponges behing the air conditioning unit. Me thinks the damn hog moved them out of his way because the offensive odor must have been spoiling his great feast. I have tried human pee and it seems to work. all i have in my garden now are jalapenos and habs and yes the damn hog has been nibbling. i tried a hot pepper mixture on the leaves, but they turned brown and fell off :( I bought commercial hot pepper spray and the leaves are still on the plants. i think the pee and spray might work. i am tempted to try the mouse trap idea, but damn if i haven't spent a fortune on the damnable critter by now. cheryl _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
