In a quest for further info about peppers and heat.. Just wondering if you folks noticed that various peppers heat only certain areas of the mouth and throat? It seems to me that.. Tabascos bite the very tip of the tongue, Hungarian Hot Wax peppers seem to heat more of the front tongue and lip area, serranos only the middle of the tongue, habs the rear part of the tongue and throat. Certainly all have different tastes and heat values, but it was curious while grazing the garden last night a different burn area seemed to also occur. Wondering if any of you notice similar experiences? I would think that it is due to capsaicinoid variations? just wondering Chet -- *-----------------------------------------------------------------* * Chet Bacon KA1ILH | Okay, who put a * * PO Box 284 | "stop payment" on my * * Southington, CT 06489 | reality check? * * E-Mail: | Homepage: * * chet@chetbacon.com | http://www.chetbacon.com * * cbacon@connix.com(work) | http://www.connix.com/~cbacon (work) * * Viva Bultaco Viva Bultaco Viva Bultaco Viva Bultaco Viva Bultaco* *-----------------------------------------------------------------* * Adopt a Doberman Help end puppy mills! www.dru.org * *-----------------------------------------------------------------*
