	Well, if you want to kill them, I would suggest a pellet gun
	as opposed to a BB gun.  Use the pointed pellets for good
	penetration in order to put the suckers down.  A BB might
	just embed itself under the skin, if it penetrated the fur at
	all.  Don't want angry, limping, hungry squirrels now, right?
	Also, use a rifle, as opposed to a handgun.  They are more
	accurate at a distance.

	As far as not being allowed to *hunt* them:  
	  Set up an appropriate backstop, hang a target and practice
	shooting.  Then, if some squirrel bait, ummm... bird food
	just *happens* to fall in front of the target... well, we all know
	*accidents* happen.
