>Rain all around us for the last 3 days, not a drop here. >Drier than a popcorn phart. I've been watering every-other day, and the ground is still drying out, getting cracks. No rain for past 2 weeks, none in the 5-day guess (forecast). Only a little blossom drop as days hit high 90's, nights in the mid/high 70's. The peppers are doing OK. The paprikas are showing signs of turning ripe. Still getting fruit set on most other varieties. Finally getting blossoms on the red savinas and datil. No fruit set on the rocotos, but more buds forming every day. The chacoense are setting fruit, even though the flowers go from open to dropping off in 24 hrs. Is that typical of all "wild" varieties, or do most small-fruit peppers do this? I didn't get any of the chiltepin seeds to germinate last winter, so I can't compare. Scott... KCK
