Can any other authorities out there validate the origin of the Habanero?
I only ask because I'm sure I heard a story that Habaneros are not actually
FROM Havana, but rather originated someweher else (?) by way of Havana?
i.e. suggesting that habaneros or habanero seeds were transported through
Havana, but not actually originating in Havana??

Well...I can handle the spelling aspects!

(1) There's no ņ in habanero! It comes from La Habana (Havana).

(2) It's "Jalapeņo!" From Jalapa, Mexico.

Myron (aka Captain Spellcheck)

PS I use Alt+164 for my ņ's!!
