>How old is your chacoence plant? >Do its pods have a good flavor? Best of luck with your C. chacoense plants. They're cute, and quite prolific. But, unfortunately, the fruits are very small (like about 1/2" x 1/4"), _very_ seedy, not very good flavor, and not even particularly hot. All four varieties I've had have been pretty similar to each other; mostly the only differences have been very slight variations in fruit shape (barrel shaped, rounded sides, etc) or color (bright red, dull-red, orange-ish-red, etc.). Of course, if you come across a variety that actually _is_ very hot, please let us know. BTW, according to the UN/FAO/IBPGR report on Capsicums (1983), C. chacoense crosses with C. annuum and C. chinense (and not any other species of Capsicum). --- Brent
