Well, we don't have that problem in Wyandotte county, KS. They don't do much in the way of water treatment here. The water is so hard you could float a brick. Sometimes it's as if they just strain out the tree limbs and body parts. Does anybody know if hard water will have an adverse effect on the gardens? Will it eventually screw up the soil pH? I don't want to part with the 4 grand to put in a whole house system, and those pitcher filter things wouldn't be feasible. Scott... KCK
