Hey All...carp, seeing as there has been no moisture for such a long time could you not consider drowning those little buggers that decimate your maters and peppers? Just stick the hose down the hole and let 'er fly! And if there are any young down those holes, hope they can swim! Reminds me of what I did years ago in Ottawa, when I had a particularly vicious starling...I waited until she went in to feed her brood, and nailed a board over the hole in the tree....cruel? Perhaps, but you should have seen what whe was doing to my children when they were outside! And the noise she made, when she could not escape, scared off every starling for miles around....we were not pooped on again, all the rest of the summer and fall!Cheers, Doug, now in BC where we aint got a starling! danceswithcarp wrote: > > On Thu, 12 Aug 1999, Chet Bacon wrote: > > > Looks like you folks in the mid west will get hit before we do here in > > the east.. heavy thunder storms.. hope that the harvest of Jim's C.'s > > MWP plants and the rest out there are not gonna get hurt..
