Cameron,
I've used that stuff to make AWESOME beef jerky..VERY hot and spicy. 
I've used all types of beef but the best was a rump roast sliced rather
thin marinated overnight in the smoked seasoning and then I add garlic
powder, onion powder, black pepper and hot pepper flakes.  Last year I
had dried Fatalli flakes.  Man this was hot and tasty.  When you compare
the price of making beef jerky yourself to buying it at the store you
can save a fortune!  Plus the store does not have a very hot variety.
