'Heads,

I'm State-Faired OUT! Spent 16 hours working it for my company; 11
volunteering, and 14 with the SO yesterday just 'doing' The Fair for
us... I'm whippped!

Anyway... Picked up two new sauces - the SO did. He's a sucker for
these kind'a things; I thought the price of $7/bottle - "I'll let you
have *that* one for $6" - was OUTRAGEOUS!!! (Total $13 smackers!!!!!!!
I better $H!T gold bricks with these two... )

Got Marie Sharp's "Habanero Pepper Sauce" (mild version) - "A Proud
Product of Belize" fur me. While I can't tolerate smoking the silly
things, I have fallen in love with their "fruity" smell/flavor - thought
you guys were all NUTZ when you'd talk about a hot pepper being
fruity!!! - but can't take their heat... Hope this has flavor but low
on heat... Ittiz a nice orange... Anybuddy had this stuff? Need I
worry??? How izzit?

The SO got Garden Row Foods Inc.'s "Chipolte Pepper Sauce." From
Franklin Park, IL. I'm REALLY skeptical about this stuff... 'Fraid
ittiz gonna be "Taco-Bellish"... Anybuddy had this?

To whomever e-mailed me privately about Gypsys/Cubanellas (sp?)....

Saw some at The Fair - Cubanellas. Look just like the Gypsys I
bought... Saw NO "Gypsys"!!! Sir Jim, The Elder, can you shed some
light on this? Are Gypsys and Cubanellas one and the same? If so, why
the different names? If not, why do they look alike??? Thanks!

Saw some RIPE Gypsys/Cubanellas - GORGEOUS RED and very mouth watering
(got a blue ribbon - SOME JUDGE up here knows their peepers! <g>).
Figure they must have started them about Christmas Day and grew them
under a food warming light... :,)

Saw many nice peppers exhibited at The Fair. Was very proud of the
judges and what they deemed deserving of a blue ribbon. Size,
uniformity and color were all important. Somebody knew ripe from unripe
and over grown vs. *just right.* Was nice.

Question: Any o'you guys exhibit at fairs? Reason I ask, it seems here
in MN you have to submit *six* (no more, no less) peepers...

How many plants does it take to do this? To get six almost perfectly
matched, clone-ish peppers??? Seems you MUST have a MINIMUM of six
plants - but all six coming ripe at the same time, with the same size
fruit????? Seems impossible! (I'm sure ittiz!) Am thinking you'd need
a minimum of 15 plants, prolly more like 25-30, all of the same
peeper...

Anybuddy ever done this???? Your thoughts would be appreciated!

Thanks!
