Yup Garry is about 200 miles away as the crow flies.

Have to "Pick on Him" once in awhile, just to keep him
alert. Maybe next year he will read labels and make less
mistakes. And hopefully will have a better crop.

For a "Shoot out" maybe take same variety to Jim Magrath
or Jeff Rose at the Pig'N'Pepper and let them decide ??

Most ornementals look like the Blovian Rainbow, Heat about
the same as tobasco, if grown right.

Even Dewitt say's that Nursery's are notorious for mislabeling.

My Red Serrano's look more like a small Jalapeno
A lot different than what you describe. About 1/2 in dia and
about 2 1/2 in long, smooth and straight. From what you say maybe
Charleston Hot or Thai would be up in the Hab heat range, If you can handle
Habs then a serrano should have been in the black pepper range unless you
have been getting some really cold habs.
