People from _Indiana_ are proud of their tomatoes.  This brand is usually
cheaper and of a better quality than other brands of canned 'maters.

My few pepper plants have had a hard time this year.  Steam-bath, then
scorching, now very cool weather.  The little creek we pump water from went
dry yesterday.  Today I see the pepper leaves are being removed by a small
hoard of 1/2" striped, fast-moving beetles (?).

It's always something.
