This sounds a bit like something I'm growing this year called "Devil
Tongue". I got my plants from Cross Country Nurseries in NJ.

Is is possible to post a picture on a web site where we can take a look?

What kind are 2-3" long, yellow, narrow, wrinkly, amd pointed?

I didn't keep track of which are what, and I have about 10 different types
(of chinense) planted.

P.S.  I've got 6 really big orange Rocotos (much bigger than the reds),
waiting to be picked.  And lots of green of various sizes.  No yellows yet.
