I sort of "pre-inherited" a bunch of back issues of Organic Gardening magazine, (Grandma is 94 and was cleaning house). As I plow through them I have noticed a few things that may be of interest: A study showed that high nitrogen levels can reduce the amount of vitamin C in the veggies by about about half. The study did not mention peppers specifically, but I guess it could apply. Anybody know different? Lots of compost ideas. My favorite so far is the laziest. Take a bag of leaves in the fall, add water, poke a few holes in the bag and wait until spring. Even I can handle that. An organic recipe for bug spray is "bug juice", take the offending bugs, blend into a mash with water and spray. The only odd thing is it's recommended for use on aphids, but the instructions call for 1 cup bugs to 2 cups water. Scott... KCK
