Scott... KCK said.... <snip here> "Cynic that I am, I notice they didn't specify *where* they weren't going to market, or *where* the opposition was. Did they say they were scrapping the entire project? (I wouldn't expect it.) Maybe they reserve the right to market the junk during a future period of lessened oppostion? Sounds like 3rd world countries can look forward to seeing this stuff sooner than one might think." Well, I'd just like to add that even if it's "only" used in the third world, all of that produce makes it right back onto the shelves of the first world supermarkets, so, let the buyer REALLY beware.... whatever the big tycoons take out of the coutry, where regulation or opposition is scarce or simply ain't, comes back to haunt ya.... Between the British beef crisis, the Belgian chicken, pork, beef and dairy product dioxin scares and hormone scares, the hormones in farmed fish, the GM soy in almost everything we eat, and the general tinkering with our sustenance, a nice meal of veggie stuffed peppers sounds like it's on the menu tonite!! Looking forward to dinner..... <S> Diane in Flanders Pepper update... pet pepper plants brought in just before expected cold snap, come to momma!
