They grew quite well and looked like Jalapenos, but they tasted more like a severely under ripened Ace Bell pepper when green and a mouthful of water when ripened to red. So next year instead of wasting the garden space I'll grow Salsa Delights for them. You can take the heat out of the pepper but you might as well eat the leaves. >> This happened to me last year; grew some jalapenos in a bucket, just using seeds I picked up from the local nursery (was my first year growing peppers) The plants flourished, but the peppers were positively BLAND----tasted just like green peppers. And these weren't false alarm anything! (and they looked just like jalapenos) Weird. Needless to say, I grew habaneros this year.....just in case.....taking no chances on heat this year me! I've pulled my plants in for the winter, some are still ripening, a little leaf drop, a few fungus gnats (taking care of these as best I can, can't seem to find those sticky sheets anywhere in town, may have to resort to internet buying) but otherwise doing okey dokey. :0) jenee in richmond, va "Like a guy in a bra, it's the idea that counts" ---Greg Brown visit my webpage: http://www.penpapercoffee.com pen, paper, coffee - the elements of writing
