I would guess due to allergic reactions to nuts. And since we are talking about pesto, which means pizza (to me), I like to put coarse ground cayenne on the pizza *before* it goes in the oven. As opposed to sprinkling it on top after. It brings out the heat and flavor better, and you don't have to worry about accidently inhaling pepper dust. Scott... still not using plywood... KCK
