Thanks to you guys, I bought an
American Harvest at Sam Walton's little roadside shack ... all they had was
the FD-50.

I use a model FD-40, in which the fan & heater are at the bottem, and
another (can't find a model no.) which has the fan & heater sticking down
from the top. I prefer the latter 'cause drips won't get into the
"fan/heater" unit. Both are quite dependable, and see lotsa use. (Both are
American Harvest.)

My question is, approximately how long does it take
to dry four trays of habs?

If you "split" the habs, or cut them in two (to increase drying surface), my
guess (approximate) would be 12-14 hours. If you intend to grind them, leave
them on the dehydrator until they "crackle" when squeezed, (Very dry).
Send a report.
