I previously mentioned that Sea Urchin was the only thing (within reason) that I did not want to try. This was because the person who introduced me to sushi refered to it in the same manner as you mentioned. Just the thought of that made it difficult for me to try it. Once I did it wasn't so bad after all. I'm like you - I love wasabi - I like to mix a heavy dose of it in with the soy sauce for dipping! I can't imagine anyone saying they don't like sushi. There are too many varieties to rule them all out. The one that is my least favorite is actually boiled - thin sliced octopus tentacles. It reminds me of shoe leather. And I *have* tried that but don't ask. One of my favorites are the little baby octopuses that float in the bar-b-que type sauce. I don't know how they make it but it sure is tasty. If you want some lime pickles or garlic pickles write me and I'll fix you up. The garlic pickles just arrived - they are my favorite (but not my co-workers). Have a good week! rr --- Shantihhh@aol.com wrote: > > In a message dated 10/26/99 9:30:02 PM, dougandmarie@home.com > writes: > > << but taste it? >> > Doug! > > He says he just thinks it must taste like uni as it looks and > smells like > uni---think I worded it wrong.
