This is the first season I've been growing these varieties so I can't comment with any certainty about the reason for it going so well. The mild weather may have been a factor, plus the fact that I've been making use of both the greenhouse & the conservatory, I haven't used any extra lighting however. The Chinense varieties have been no problem at all in my area (Hertfordshire), nonetheless I've already got some Rocoto seeds to try out for next season (thanks for the tip though). FWIW, here's the full list of what managed to grow for me, if anyone wants to correct me on my semi-guesswork species guide then please do (nb. 'pj' means from Pepperjoe's, otherwise from Tough Love apart from the Thai Dragon & Hungarian Hot Wax, which came from a friend). >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 1) Yellow spots on flowers -> Baccatum 2) Erect pedicels with nodding flowers -> Frutescens (or Pubescens if seeds black) 3) Large, ovate, crinkled leaves -> Chinense 4) Otherwise Annuum Capsicum Baccatum ----------------- Aji Gold (pj) Hot Lemon (pj) Wild Dynamo (pj) Capsicum Frutescens ------------------- Bermuda Hot (pj) Bolivian Rainbow (pj) Pueblo (pj) Thai Dragon Thai Hot Capsicum Chinense ----------------- Caribbean Red Habanero Caribbean Red Hot Fatalli (pj) Golden Habanero (pj) Jamaican Hot (pj) Miracle Willy (pj) Mushroom Pepper (pj) Orange Habanero Red Habanero Red Sella (pj) Safi Red Capsicum Annuum --------------- Ancho-Poblano Barney Pepper (pj) Big Jim Charleston Cayenne Cherry Bomb Hybrid Cubanelle Fluorescent Purple (pj) Garden Salsa Hybrid Giant Serrano (pj) Guajillo Hungarian Hot Wax Jalapa Hybrid Jalapeno Mexibell Hybrid Peter Pepper Pimento Red Torpedo (pj) Robustini Hybrid Super Cayenne Hybrid Super Chili Hybrid Super Shepherd Sweet Crimson (pj) Turkish Cayenne (pj) <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Regards, Tony.
