Dear Carmen, I haven't been to HK since the Commies took over, but I imagine it's pretty much the same. There are literally too many places to start naming, but eat at several of the "night markets." These are "Chinese-style" night-time flea markets, just teeming with cooks stir-frying in huge woks. You won't recognize a lot of the ingredients, but what the heck..if it doesn't bark or meow!? Point to the chiles if you want more "heat!" For fun...try one of the large floating restaurants (e.g., Jumbo) at Aberdeen. You'll have to go by boat, of course. Aberdeen....a floating city with thousands of sampans and junks is awesome! Take the Star Ferry between Hong Kong and the mainland. It used to cost 5 cents! Take the hydrofoil to Macao if you still can do it. Some Portuguese flavor, as it was a colony of Portugal for many years. The Lisboa Hotel and Casino are magnificent! Ride the cable car to the top of Victoria Peak; and take the trolley/tram to the end of the line on HK Island (Victoria). You'll see fascinating sections of HK no tourists ever see! Have a nice trip!
