Thanks to all of you who have contributed, so far, to my growing list of breakfast recipes. I am going to have to decide soon on which recipe I will use, but it is coming down to Grilled Grits w/Sausage Gravy or Dorothy Sheet's Breakfast Casserole. It may be the grits though, since I suspect that someone else may be bringing their own version of a breakfast casserole. On the vodka thread, I tried making my own Peppered Vodka as a Christmas gift for my brother a few years back. I took a 750ml bottle of Smirnoff's 80 proof and tapped off enough to allow 6 sliced habs to be pushed inside. I then resealed it and set it in the back of the pantry for about 4 months. Since I don't drink vodka there was no temptation to sample it until it was time to wrap it. Then I thought that I should at least taste it, because I was intensely curious as to how hot it was. Drinking that shot reminded me of the story of the very greedy Spaniard whom the Aztecs captured and poured molten gold down his throat. I was in so much pain that I was nearly in a state of panic. I have never put anything as hot as that into my mouth before or since. For me, emphasis on the 'For me', that crossed the line between ChileHedonism and S&M. My brother, it turns out, has a much lower tolerance than I do and I believe that to this day he still has more than half of that bottle. George J. Goslowsky Senior Software Analyst Intergraph, Corp.
