I generally try to explain why I like a sauce on a particular dish. For example: Scorned Woman with Marinara sauce, the black pepper and acidity of the vinegar blend well with the tomato, basil and oregano flavors. Sriracha with vegetable dishes -- the chiles and garlic enhance the fresh vegetable flavor, or a good chipotle sauce brings out the smoked flavor of hams and sausages, etc. BTW -- We're not crazy -- we just listen to the voices in our minds! ;-) >> What metaphors fdo >> you usually use when trying to describe your favorite sauce, or any other, >> to a friend? > >I use colours, familiar smells, and seasons... > >I really can't be crazy, can I? Nah. > >("Or, are we?" > >"No, we're not!" > >"How do you two, know? We say you two are, but we three aren't!") >
