I bought the book last summer and this fall combined that strategy with square-foot gardening by making my frames and filling them. They are supposed to compost over the winter making them ready to use in the spring. We have loooong winters here in the midwest so I hope things are going well under the snow! The concept makes sense except that the lasagna gardening doesn't call for any soil to be put into the garden. I strayed from that and did add some regular garden-variety soil to the mix of newspapers etc. SandyO CH #1146, of the moderate persuasion
