[CH] weird little habs

I grew some Red Savinas last years and I noticed that I get two kinds of 
pods, one is a nice big typical hab type of pod and on the same plants I am 
getting little deformed pods with some kind of black stuff inside.  I am 
wondering if its just fruit that is not fertilized or if I might be having 
some kind of fungus or nutritional problem.  Our garden receives lots of 
horse manure mixed with either straw or sawdust every year and I am in West 
Virginia.
