List, I've had tremendous success so far this winter with what I believed to be a Tabasco pepper plant (at least that's what the package of seeds said it was). Lately I've began to question whether this plant is indeed a tabasco or some other kind of plant. It looks nothing like the picture of a Tabasco in the DeWitt "Peppers of the World" book nor does it look like those in various catalogs either. It is about 5 feet tall, the leaves have small hairs on their surface, and the pods themselves are 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch long, very thin (no thicker than a pencil), and ripen to red. I'm amazed at the success of this plant indoors this winter. When I first brought it in last October it was less than 1 foot tall. Now its over 5 feet tall with dozens of pods and I've got 4 stakes holding it up. Anyone have any idea if this is indeed a Tabasco or possibly something else. Thanks in advance.
