Hello Chs-
Yesterday I did something I've never done before. I planted 6 seedlings
outside in February. Soil temp is 50 degrees (not 55, I know!!). I
plan to compare their growth with the ones I still have indoors, if they
survive any future frosts we might have. It's been so warm here I
thought a little experimentation might be worth the effort. The plants
are all about 6" tall, started in December. Since it was time to re-pot
to prevent root-balling, I just set them out as if I actually had good
sense. We'll see.
Arizona Ash and Elms are busily budding out here in Abilene.
Byron- in regard to your comment on mild winter and bugs...there is a
definite correlation here in Texas. Most noticeable are mosquitos,
aphids, squash bugs, aphids, whiteflies and aphids. Did I mention
aphids?? This year will be rough on gardeners, for certain.
Good growing out there, Chile heads.
