I had a Duodenal Ulcer about 25 years ago. I read some books about healing with herbs. I used Myhrr, Chickweed and Cayenne powder. Some people thought I was crazy at the time because conventional wisdom back then thought spicy food was the culprit (imagine anyone believing Hot-N-Spicy could be bad for you) and that Cayenne would aggrevate it further. I cured the ulcer myself with the herbal combination and have been ulcer free for 1/4 century. Today I've read several times that the Medical community now believes that ulcers are caused by bacteria in the stomach. And naturally it's not hard to beleive that you could benefit from Cayenne for that. I think there are a lot of health benefits from hot peppers. All due respect for any doctors in our group but a health tape that I heard a few years back (called 'Dead Doctors don't lie') stated that the average doctor lives only into their mid-fifties. Usually they are the last people that I take advice from. I tried a doctor first with the ulcer and his treatment didn't help much.
