Are you calling us jokes??? Hmph! I've been called worse. ;-)

As George indicated this list has only been running a few days so
you haven't missed much. Margaret and I haven't even been grumpy
yet. :-) Good to see you, Cheryl. It's been a long time.

So, tell us about your garden. Mine just got weeded (not that it
needed it -- you could still see some of the plants I intended to be
there) and I'm going to move a whole lot of stuff around. There was
a beeeeeg sale at my favorite local nursery last weekend but I was
good and didn't spend too much. I picked up a velvety looking deep
red perennial lobelia that may be my new favorite plant.

Yall don't hit me or anything but they had Japanese maples on half
price sale and I didn't buy one. Stupid me, I couldn't figure out
where to put it. I see lots of JM around and the very lacy red ones
appear to get sunburn if they get full afternoon sun here. Well
today (1 week after the sale) I almost wrecked the truck when I
realized that I had a perfect place to plant one -- on the east side
of the northeast corner of the house. They sold only 1 of the danged
things last weekend and today they wanted $90 for the variety I want.
I think they can keep it until it goes on sale again.
