Here in Northern Michigan we have had one of the most spectacular Autumn
seasons I can ever remember....We have had countless days of blue skies and
summer temps...in fact I believe we've had warmer days than we did all
summer....We had a full day of rain yesterday and my yard loves
it...getting reblooms on a few things and the new grasses I just planted
are happy. I'm looking forward to another great weekend out in the
gardens, might even put in another bed.

I have plans for a "junk bed". I visited a garden a couple of weeks back
and she has a few beds with yard sale finds planted in amongst her flowers,
I liked the look, so have been collecting stuff. Things like old aluminum
kettles, kitchen implements, an old fancy coffee urn, a rusted rice
sieve...we'll see how it turns out. It sounds strange, but it really isn't
too obtrusive, at least not when you compare it to gnomes, flamingo's and
little peeing boys. <VBG>
