Following message is from my daughter, the Pre-K teacher in Splendora, TX.
I had mentioned that the NGA gave grants to schools and she applied for her
school. Her pre-k classes are building flower, herb, and vegetable beds in
all the "decorative" beds around the elementary school. I sent them a
membership in the National Arbor Day Foundation that came with 10 redbud
saplings for the road up to the door. Gardening is hereditary.

>Hey Mom and Pop, We won the National Gardening Assoc. grant. Out of 1900
>entries we were one of the 300 chosen. We will receive $750 worth of tools
>and seeds. I'm so excited. Now I have to get Josh going building those
>raised beds. Did you see Splendora on the weather news? We had to have an
>early dismissal due to flooding. It was crazy trying to contact parents and
>get kids ready to go in a little over an hour. Well, it's almost time to
>start dinner. Love ya!
