I had snaps overwinter here, too. I was wondering if younger snaps, after being hardened off, would be more susceptible to cold than mature snaps. Some veggies are more susceptible to cold when young than when old and for others the reverse is true. For example, I've had young peas take pretty heavy frosts but older peas have been killed by heavy frosts. You guys are probably right. I should just plant them and say to heck with it. I'm also ready to stick out heliotrope. Liz
