Hey, if we're going to count pets, I can claim quite a few - oldest daughter Has 3 cats and youngest has 4. Not sure how we got to be such a "catty" family. On a gardening note - youngest has finally gotten into gardening. They have been doing quite a bit of planting, but their lot (MUCH bigger than ours) is very very shaded and wooded. Oldest daughter & husband live in a trailer so can't do much landscaping but have planted grass seed and started two planter boxes - one of annuals, the other of herbs. Did I say we were helping support the horticulture industry Sunday? Went to a small nursery about 20 miles from here - Vintage Hills Farms. Run by a young couple - the husband is a former student of my husband's at the University and the wife is a former student of mine when she was in high school! Anyway, got lots of neat perennials mostly and I finally got a David Austin Rose! I am so excited. I had hear so much about them on the list, then when we saw so many of them in England last summer, had to have one. Sharifa Asma. A delicate blush pink, strongly fragrant with 2" blooms on an upright, compact bush. Repeat blooming. Excellent choice for the small garden or border 3 ft x 3 ft. anyone grow this one?
