[gardeners] Re: budless rose cane

Hi all! I'm new to this list & was hoping someone could help me with a
climbing rosebush problem. The middle of the bush has a very large cane with
no buds on any of the stems until you get to the top where it has many blooms.
It almost looks likes it's gone wild. Should I remove the budless stems? There
are blooms around it from other canes. Will it eventually form buds? TIA for
any advice.
